Clique Kit inspired DD page!!

I was super excited to get a knock on the door today from the courier, who was standing there holding the best shaped box ever...containing my December Clique Kit!! What a gorgeous kit. I can't wait to play with it some more..but for the mean time...I have started with a December Daily spread...

Adore all the embellies in this kit..from the tags to washi strips, self adhesive sequins...twine...a 12x12 sheet of alphas..and that's only a tiny selection of what was in there! 

And the papers- so awesome! A sheet of acetate cards and some fun 12x12 papers which is where I have cut the little 'clipboard' from.

December Daily inspired by Jot's December Moodboard!

December is disappearing soooo quickly! I've got all my foundation pages done but its just a matter of choosing photos, then slotting them and finishing the pages off. Always sounds like a quick easy job...but it isn't! My first problem is selecting what photo to use for the day. As you can see below, I'm making the most of the fantastic 2x2 pocket pages. LOVE them. So much fun!! And have you checked out Jot's December MB yet? Beautiful...simply beautiful!

Clique Kits November Blog Hop

Another fab kit from Clique Kits! This last month has been very busy with different things on including getting started on December daily prep so I haven't had as much time to play with it...but I did get these 2 spreads done! Can't wait to do more! Another great 12x12 paper that I couldn't bare to only use part of it...so 4x4 squares it became! 

I had a tassel left over from last months kit that worked PERFECTLY below...and I couldn't resist but add some dimension to the tapestry threads card!

Sketches in Thyme PL style

December Daily

Hard to believe its time to start doing December Daily Prep. Such a fun album to do! Mum and I do it together (an album each but play along together!) which makes it an even more fun project! This year we ordered Ali Edwards kit with one of the mini kit add ons..but since we've managed to collect quite the selection of things from the Pinkfresh Christmas Wishes Collection and Heidi Swapps' Oh What Fun collection. eeekkk... I think I may have enough stuff to stock a small store! Lol! Anyhow..today I decided to do my first page..I'm think I'll put it at the front of the album to set the tone... Funnily enough, it only uses one thing from my stash (The red sparkle and shine). I made up the 'Merry, Merry, Merry' on my silhouette (Inspired from a pic I saw on Pinterest) and then it wouldn't be a front page without sequins!! FUN!!!! Before it goes in the album, I'll tidy up the glue marks and 'furry' edges on the letters... Will try and post my pages as I prep them! :-) Sparkle and Shine...it's almost December time! x

Jots (devine) November Mood Board

PINK and YELLOW!!!! Thank you Jot for another devine Mood Board. I can see many more pages been done using this moodboard...like perhaps the rest of the photos we took while on holiday in Rarotonga!! Perfect match for Pink Paislees Citrus Bliss range that I had already put aside to use as my 'theme' for our Raro photos.

Clique Kits October Blog Hop

Can you believe it's almost November!?! Another Pep Rally closer to Christmas! eeekkk... Octobers 'Funfetti' was another super FUN kit!! Loving all the different size cards, and as always, the embellishments were awesome! There was a sheet of cut outs that I really enjoyed using too! Have fun hopping along! Also check out Clique Kits 'Anything Goes' Challenge for the month- you'll find one of these added in there!

There is not a lot to this page as the paper itself was just gorgeous!!

LOVE making pages with diferent size cards and photos! And of course, leaving 'clear' pockets as well!I will eventually fuse these in to individual pockets, but for now they are stuck onto 6x6 pieces of page protector to fit in the 6x6 pockets.

Scrap The Girls October Challenge

I was feeling a little 'blocked' with my creativity today...I wasn't sure where to start..so I had a look through some blogs I follow and came across this simply STUNNING moodboard by Scrap The Girls. I haven't seen their blog before, but I will follow it closely now as their Design Team put up some fantastic pages...and they had me completely inspired today! Here's the page I put together for their October Challenge :-)

Jot's October Mood Board

Eeeekkkk I think this is the first page I haven't used a pink or gold embellishment on in a long time!!! And only a speckle of pink in the photos!! A very rare sight in our family albums ;-) 100% inspired by Jot's gorgeous October Mood Board! Thank you Jot!!

Our baby turned 1!!

This past year has just flown by...can't believe I now have a 2 year old and a big 1 year old!!! I had a lot of fun preparing for the birthday girls little party..I decided to make a ribbon garland to put as a background behind the table..except I somehow ended up using crepe paper. It look fantastic, but it took FOREVER to make as I had to be soooo delicate knotting it so it wouldn't rip! I think next time I will find ribbon ;-) I made some confetti balloons and used pink and gold curling ribbon to hand off the balloons. All time consuming, but would do it all over again. Now that its all done and dusted though, time to get back into some scrapping! Exciting news!!!!!

Kim from Sketches in Thyme has started a up a new challenge blog all about Project Life!! So very awesome. And for even more exciting news, I'm one of the sketch designers AND design team members!! Eeeekkkkk!! Feel absolutely honoured (and initially a little nervous as I have never sketched before!) and can't wait to see all the amazing page spreads/layouts created for this challenge site. Heidi Swapp yummyness!

The new Heidi Swapp range out in Spotlight Stores in NZ...WOW!!!!! The most incredible colours and such FUN cards to use. Along with a Project Life Core Kit, she also has put out mini kits that are to die for, packs for 4x4 cards, embellishments, binders...the lot! And it is all devine!! So grateful for these talented designers around that make documenting our life adventures and stories so much fun! No doubt I will have plenty of pages in the future featuring this new range, but heres one to start!

Clique Kits Pep Rally take 2! Capture..What a fun kit..absolutely LOVED the textured card and crepe paper!! I wouldn't normally be one to stick black bits of paper into my pages but WOW, awesome. Loved it. I'll be using more of it and tracking down more crepe paper too. And of course the pink played a major part! You'll find one of these pages in their 'anything goes' challenge also. Jot's September Mood Board

September..already!?! Next month my newborn turns 1..seriously..where have those months gone!!! Anyhow.. our little family took a holiday for two weeks which was just magical. I have been a bit quiet on here as a result..but a lot of exciting things have been in the making..first off- If you haven't read Issue 11 of Jot's Magazine, you should really take a moment to have a look. Kim has done a fantastic job putting this together and there is SO much inspiration and talent! And very exciting..one of my spreads is in there (check out Page 189)!!! I was absolutely blown away and feel so honored.

So then it brings us to Jot's September Mood Board...very delish..pink/red/blue..how can you go wrong!?! I have to say.. my page inspired by this mood board is one of the first in a LONG time that doesn't have any gold on it. Slightly obsessed with gold so was challenging not to put a splash of gold on there! It's a simple page, but I still love it!

Clique Kits August Pep Rally

Soooo excited to have received my first ever Clique Kit. I could hardly wait for my girls to go down for their naps so I could get playing. And once I started..it was hard to stop!! So it was only fitting that being my first kit, that I also join in on my first Pep Rally! Hip hip hooray! 

What gorgeous colours in the kit...and while I would have used up the entire kit..we have a holiday coming up in Rarotonga so want to keep some of these goodies to scrap photos from there as they are just PERFECT summer colours and embellies! But a taste of this months Ambrosia Kit with the 'anything goes' challenge...

August Mood Board along at Jot

Having two little girls in our house, we are SURROUNDED by pink...so I LOVED working with these blues for a change (potentially should have printed in B&W to remove the pink clothes!lol!)...Inspired by Jots August Mood Board and as Clique Kits has an 'anything goes' challenge..this seems the perfect fit for that too ;-)

Coffee group...a favourite time of the week!

Our coffee group has been together for over two years now! So awesome! Such an amazing group of ladies and the little tikes have become good friends! And we even have 'new editions' to the group! Hooray for our first babies becoming big sisters and big brothers! Oh how time flies! Today we had coffee group at our place, and with the sun shining, it was a perfect day to get the water table out! The kids had a blast! Our little bubbas also had a ball kicking around on the floor, holding hands and smiling at each other! Such precious moments... And while this photo of spread hasn't turned out perfect as I struggled with lighting/shadows..must go by a big piece of white card to lay my pages onto to photograph (or open to any other tips on getting a good photo!).., I still want to share it in the Clique Kits and Southern Girls 'anything goes' challenges :-)

Hello Orange!!

Amazing to think it is already July!!!! This year is flying! Since joining the 'blogging' world, I also discovered challenge blogs..and I LOVE them!! Such a great way to bring new focus into your pages and in the case of this months Jots' Mood Board Challenge, I have been inspired to use a colour I don't typically use- orange! And what a bright fun colour to use! Thanks Jot!
